Dr. Rummel joined the Camboro Veterinary team in 1979. He is a 1976 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences. Upon graduation, his love for animal care continued at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 1979 with his VMD.

Throughout his professional career he has been an active influence and honored to have received many awards:

2002: Named as President of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association.

2002: Selected as one of the Consumer Research Council of America’s Top Veterinarians.

2003: Chosen as the PVMA’s Veterinarian of the Year.

2007: PVMA’s Dr. A. Wayne Mountain Memorial MEDIA Award for services in pet health.

2013: Innovation Award, National Veterinary Associates.

2014: Special Contributions Award, National Veterinary Associates.

Dr. Rummel holds memberships with the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, the Northwest Pen Vet Med Association, and the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology.

Professional interests include soft tissue and cosmetic laser surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, reproductive ultrasound, and allergic disease. Dr. Rummel is certified in CO2 Laser surgery and Regenerative Adipose Stem Cell therapy.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and his bees. You can always catch him cheering for his favorite football team - The Penn State Nittany Lions. Go State!
