James Rummel, DVM at Edinboro Animal Hospital

James R Rummel

Dr. Rummel joined Camboro in 1979
Dr. Rummel graduated with a B.S. degree in Animal Sciences from Pennsylvania State University in 1976. He then went on to complete his veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine.
Memberships and Awards:
We are honored that Dr. Rummel was the 2002 president of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association.
He has recently been selected as one of the Consumer Research Council of America's Top Veterinarians. 
Dr. Rummel was also chosen as the PVMA's 2003 Veterinarian of the Year. 
Dr. Rummel is also a member of the American Veterinary Association AVMA, PVMA, Northwest Pen Vet Med Association, American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology, Certified in C02 Laser surgery and Regenerative Adipose Stem Cell Therapy.
Areas of Interest:
Soft Tissue and Cosmetic Laser Surgery, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Reproductive Ultrasound and Allergic Disease.

Anthony C Burgett, DVM at Edinboro Veterinary Clinic

Anthony C Burgett

Dr. Burgett performed studies at Edinboro College before going on to get his DVM from the New York College of Veterinary Medicine (Cornell).
He is a member of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Burgett is one of our certified laser surgeons. Certified in C02 Laser surgery.

Randy Sliker, DVM and managing veterinarian at Edinboro Animal Hospital

Randy S Sliker

Dr. Sliker attended high school locally at Erie Cathedral Prep and graduated with the class of 1985. He then enrolled at Boston College and obtained a B.S. in biology in 1989. He was accepted into the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine and obtained his V.M.D. degree in 1993.
Dr. Sliker joined Camboro's team in June 1993.
Dr. Sliker is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Association and the Northwest Pennsylvania Veterinary Association. Certified in C02 Laser surgery and Regenerative Adipose Stem Cell Therapy.
Areas of Interest:
His special professional interests include: Orthopedic Surgery, Stifle surgery, Cruciate repair via Tightrope stabilization, Fracture repair (surgical plating and pinning.) Dentistry and Oral surgery, Emergency Medicine.

Ivanna Humel Bodak, DVM at Edinboro Animal Hospital

Dr. Hummel-Bodak graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from Allegheny College. She then completed her training in veterinary medicine at Ohio State University.

Dr. Michelle Balas at Edinboro Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Michelle Balas

Dr. Balas grew up on a 3rd generation dairy farm outside Titusville,PA. She received her Bachelor's in Biology from Allegheny College in Meadville and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing frisbee with her Australian Shepherds (Raelyn and Riley), spending time with her husband and their daughter, helping out on the dairy farm, tap dancing, and kayaking. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and dermatology. She is a member of the AVMA and President of the NWPVMA.

Andrea Walton, DVM at Edinboro Veterinary Clinic

Andrea Walton

Dr. Andrea Walton is a recent addition to the Camboro staff. She grew up on a sheep, hog, and crop farm in New Middletown, OH and now resides in Crawford County, PA. Walton earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University in Agriculture Education in 2000. She continued her studies at Ohio State and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Walton practiced in New York State and central PA in primarily dairy and mixed practice (farm animals and dogs/cats) for her first eight years of practice before moving to NW PA. Most recently in the last three years, she has focused on small animals only and was working in Mercer County prior joining the Camboro staff.

Areas of interest include soft tissue surgery, human animal bond, and infectious disease, especially Lyme disease.

Dr. Walton enjoys spending time with her husband David and two young children. She enjoys hiking, Civil War history, and exploring the local area with her family. She occasionally finds time to help out on her parent's farm with the sheep and in preparing them for shows in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Dr. Walton is also an avid fan of Big Ten Football and Women's Volleyball.

Dr. Rebecca Stiert

Originally from New York, Dr. Stiert grew up in the beautiful Hudson Valley, where she spent a lot of her time outdoors. She attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she obtained her Bachelor's in Pre-Veterinary Sciences. After her undergraduate career she moved to Ohio and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Some of her favorite things to do in her spare time are taking her fur-child, Lucy, on long walks, reading, horseback riding, hiking, and enjoying a good cup of coffee. Her professional interests include behavior and soft tissue surgery. She is looking forward to getting to know all of her future clients and patients at Camboro Veterinary Hospital and to making Pennsylvania her new home and taking advantage of all that it has to offer!

Dr. Jennifer Sesler

Dr. Jen Sesler graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Wellesley College in 2011. She went on to graduate from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2016. She feels most rewarded in her work when she is able to improve the life of both her patient and its owner. Her professional interests include surgery and canine medicine. A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, Greta, seeing her family, and taking advantage of everything the Erie area has to provide.
