Cat friendly practice at Camboro Veterinary Hospital

Our Cat Friendly Practice

Information for cat owners about our Cat Friendly Practice (CFP)

It can be stressful for both the cat and the cat owner to visit the veterinarian. The veterinary visit starts before you even arrive at the veterinary clinic with trying to get your cat in the carrier and the car ride to the practice.

Our hospital is now a certified Cat Friendly Practice. This means that we have made changes to decrease stress and provide a more calming environment such as feline-only waiting areas and examination rooms. Our staff has also been trained in feline-friendly handling and understanding cat behavior in order to increase the quality of care for your cat.

When designated as a Cat Friendly Practice, selected veterinary clinics have proven they have taken specific extra steps to assure they understand a cat’s unique needs and have implemented feline-friendly standards.

Additional information can be found in the CFP Cat Owner Brochure.

The AAFP can also provide additional information and tips on how to get your cat to the veterinarian.
